New Class – Faith in Fiction: God Stories: Sept 4 – Oct 9

Join us for a 6-week discussion group 8:45-10:15am on Wednesday mornings after 8am Mass at the Holy Trinity Parish Center from September 4th through October 9. *register below.

Short Stories allow us a brief experience in fiction writings that pose two questions we may ask ourselves: where am I in this story and where is God in this story? Some stories “hit home”. Some stories make us laugh. The variety of writings is presented throughout the collection in God Stories. Life is complex. Fiction is a reflection of our struggle with decisions, bad and good. “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.” Each story testifies to human struggle and joy. Our gift is we read, we reflect, we discuss, we enjoy the fruits of great writing.

Hosted by Kathleen Mitchell, a native of Bloomington and a Holy Trinity parishioner with an academic background in  higher education. For additional questions about the class, please contact Kathleen at 865-776-1223 or email her at krmitchell730@yahoo.com.
