This is an extraordinary time when many people are affected from the Covid-19 pandemic, but we as Catholics place our trust in God. May He guide our efforts to sustain our parish as we continue to reach out to those we serve. We are very grateful to those who have been able to support the parish financially and with their prayers. Now we are asking you to prayerfully consider a gift to the 2020 ADA, which will officially begin on September 20.
The Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA) is an opportunity for us to financially support the work of the Church and draw closer to God. This year’s appeal message—Know, Love, Serve—is rooted in Bishop Jenky’s Festival Letter, The Real Presence. It is in knowing God through the Holy Eucharist that His love grows in us. As our love of God grows, we are transcended from loving through our human abilities to allowing God to love through us, and we see Christ in one another. This draws on the other element of this year’s message, and that is the dignity of life, the value of marriage and vocation, and putting God at the center of our lives.
